Avery Moore, 9, has already made a name for herself in theater at SHS. As a little kid, Moore was inspired by watching Disney movies and seeing live performances, and wanted to be a part of them somehow. This later inspired her to join a summer theater camp, where her passion truly began.
Moore started acting in 2021 around the time of the COVID. She explained that shows were canceled due to the pandemic, but theater camp gave her something to look forward to.
Some of her favorite productions that she has been a part of include “Annie” and “The Music Man,” both of which stood out to Moore for their music, dance numbers, and costume-making. Moore is also involved in improv, which she discovered through theater camp.
Moore’s passion for music extends to her involvement with concert and marching band. She has played the trombone since the fifth grade. She is excited to keep exploring where music and the arts take her.
