As March comes to a close, students anxiously await Spring Break. Some vacation to tropical places like Mexico or the Bahamas, others stay home and just enjoy a good break, but for most Juniors, spring break means college visits.
“Over spring break I am traveling throughout the southeast to look at a bunch of colleges,” said Samantha Circillo, 11.
Students usually travel to a specific region of the country and hone in on a handful of colleges to visit. They sign up for tours and get a glimpse of what life could be like for them in the next four years.
“I am super excited to see some of the campuses,” said Circillo.
Students work hard throughout high school to keep a high GPA and build their resume, all for the greater goal of college. In addition to academics, many are involved in sports or some other skill they wish to pursue in college as well, making for a very hectic time in high school.
“I am attending Baldwin Wallace University for vocal performance next year. It was a ton of work preparing for college, but it was definitely worth it in the long run,” said Elizabeth Rosenberg, 12.
As students start to commit to different schools, they make a pivotal decision. Leaving high school may be hard, but colleges start of learning that will lead to a career and an adult life.
