The dance team will be having tryouts for the upcoming season this week. This year’s team will be looking for new members to replace the twelve graduating seniors. The team has never lost this many dancers in one year. Last year only one senior left the team due to graduating.
“The new dancers will have to be fully committed to making the team the best it can possibly be,” said Emily Spry, 11.
The girls will have to stay after school often, have practice on some Saturdays, and attend dance camp at Miami University over the summer. These practices will prepare them to do their best at competition in January.
Another thing next year’s team will have to get used to is the new coach. This year’s coach Ashley McNamara is not coming back due to having a baby earlier this year.
As tryouts quickly approach the new girls and the returning members will have a lot of work to do, to prepare them for the 2014-2015 season.
