SHS softball team has had a hard start to their season. With a number of rain outs the girls were starting to lose focus for the season. But with the weather clearing up they were able to get so wins.
The softball teams latest game was against Princeton, Liz Izworski pitched and was able to keep the team in the game and give them a chance to score.
“Liz did really good pitching against Princeton, she was a little shaky in the beginning but was able to settle in and strike a bunch of girls out,” said Hannah Young, 9.
Princeton scored first but SHS answered them with five runs in the bottom of the first. This was able to pump up the girls and lead them to run rule Princeton 13-2.
“This win was very important because it gave us a 500 average for the season,” said Lydia Sloan.
