After months of setbacks and building, the new courts are finally finished and playable.
On Fri., Apr. 25, the A team was scheduled to play Oak Hills High School at home, and many expected it to be played at the MND courts.
However, in a last minute decision, Coach Michael Teets told the members of the A team that the match would be played at Sycamore. With no benches, a slightly wet court, and no windbreakers, the A team defeated Oak Hills 5-0.
On Sun., Apr. 27, members of the team came to the courts to help put up the windbreakers, which are screens that attach to the fences around the courts, and it blocks the wind. Team members also put benches and bleachers up.
Now with all of the benches up, and some of the windbreakers ready, the JV team played against Lakota East High School on Tues. Apr. 29, and was very successful. The JV team defeated East 5-0. The remainder of season’s matches and practices will take place at the new SHS courts.
