Hi! I’m Mara Thomas and I’m a senior. This is my first year taking journalism. I joined because I enjoy writing and would like to do it more often and improve my skills. I’m thinking of going into English in some capacity, so this seemed like a great way to both try something new and gain valuable experience. I also like the idea of being able to have some level of choice in what I write about as well as that my work will have an audience.

Outside of school, I play a lot of softball, both for the school varsity team and for my club team, the Blue Ash Bombers. I’ve been playing ever since I was in second grade and I’m glad it’s still such a big part of my life. I also really enjoy reading, especially fantasy, and spending time with my friends.
