Mya Reardon, staff writer
My name is Mya Reardon and I am a senior! This is my first year writing for the Leaf. I joined journalism to grow my writing skills and learn more about the sales and marketing side of the class. I have always loved to read and write and I am excited to apply those skills to something new! Last year, I helped my friends sell the leaf around school and I decided that I wanted to get involved as a staff writer.
Outside of school, I play a lot of tennis. I started playing over 10 years ago and love to continue to grow my skills both on the Sycamore team and at clubs around the area. I am also very involved in Sycamore DECA. I have participated since freshman year and have made it to international competitions. DECA has allowed me to expand my communication skills and refine my on-the-spot thinking. Additionally, I am incredibly passionate about weather and meteorology. I love to watch the cloud move on a rainy day and smell the oncoming storm. One of my biggest passions in life is my 14-year-old cocker spaniel named Jura.
I hope to continue using my skills to help make this program amazing!
