New restaurant opens: Durum Grill

Durum Grill, a new Greek restaurant opened Sept. 20 and is a great place to try a kebab or shawarma. Cincinnatians have tried the new restaurant and enjoy the cuisine it offers.

The restaurant has options in particular for vegetarians. Customers can choose from a vegetable kebab, gyro, platter, or shawarma.

“When I went to Israel I tried shawarma for the first time and I really enjoyed it,” said Spencer Mandell, 11.

For meat lovers they serve lamb, chicken, and steak. Durum Grill’s authentic Greek gyros come in a pita with all the normal toppings.

The restaurant is located in Blue Ash, with the owner often found behind. He is from Turkey and the restaurant’s atmosphere is very Middle Eastern. It is located in a strip mall next to an Indian restaurant.

“Durum Grill is my new favorite restaurant. I now sometimes eat there on weekends,” said Matt Miller, 9.

All customers who eat there get a free drink with any food order. All the food is made fresh daily, and rarely disappoints.

“That is great that you get a free drink! Whenever I usually buy foods I often times have to pay for a drink,” said Scott Retta, 10.

This year SHS Fashion for the Cure raised $59,000 dollars for The Dragonfly Foundation. All this money is in support of families whose kids are battling cancer. FFTC is an annual event that brings together our entire Sycamore community in appreciating the artistry and skill of its students, all while supporting a good cause. It is one of a kind and finds its way into peoples lives year after year. A week after the 2020 fashion show COVID-19 took hold and FFTC was unfortunately not able to be held in 2021. However, this setback only further motivated the committee, designers, volunteers, and others this year to work hard to come out with a bang for the 2022 show. So, that is exactly what happened. Featured are some notable designers and their collections from the show on February 18, 2022.

SPOTIFY WRAPPED. Another year, another Spotify Wrapped. However this year, it seems to be filled with controversy as to the accuracy of the rankings. Virtually every person that uses Spotify has some issue with their list, whether it is disbelief over their most listened artist or confusion about missing favorites.
