The swim team has announced the dates for their tryouts on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 from 2:30 to 4:30.

Incoming freshman will be trying out to make the varsity team as well as returning varsity swimmers. The team roster will be announced the day after tryouts.

“I think that the upcoming team will be strong because we will have a lot of good swimmers moving up to replace the seniors,” sophomore Matthew Schuetz said.

The swim schedule has been altered from last year and includes a new Toledo meet in replacement of the Canton meet.

“I am excited for swimming because it will be a big change from junior high swimming because it will be much more involved,” freshman Anita Pan said.

The practices for varsity are now including dryland practices, which are new to swimmers and follow the training in the afternoon from 4:40 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

“I think we will have good freshman moving up and I am looking forward to the new season,” Schuetz said.

The varsity training group will also have additional morning practices from 6:00 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. to give additional help to those swimmers in need of extra attention.
