“Cinderella” is a classic tale that has inspired love in all generations. The Broadway musical is coming to the Cincinnati Aronoff Center from Jan 6 to Jan 18.

“I’ve only ever seen Disney’s version of ‘Cinderella’ so it should be interesting to compare that to the Broadway musical,” junior Christina Caporale said.

The Broadway version has more songs such as ‘In My Own Little Corner’, ‘Impossible’, and ‘Step Sisters Lament’. In addition there are more subplots including an in depth look at the life of the prince.

Broadway is known for working to help charities as they perform. “Cinderella” has decided to sponsor, Kenzie’s Closet, a charity dedicated to helping local girls pay for their prom. It provides a dress, a purse, a shawl, two pieces of jewelry, and a pair of shoes.

“I’m excited to go because it’s benefiting Kenzie’s Closet which is such a great organization. I volunteered there last spring and it was so rewarding,” junior Leila Kazemi said.

The show is asking that spectators bring new or gently used costume jewelry to donate to the organization. In addition, for every ticket purchased on Jan 7 Broadway in Cincinnati will donate a ‘Cinderella tiara’.
