Every day practices, new jerseys, an updated schedule of games and the softball team steps up to the plate.

The team has received their practice jerseys. This has changed from last season when everyone was required to wear the same shirt and pants that were ordered in the beginning of the season

Currently the players are sporting new gold jerseys for their uniform and are required to also wear softball or sweatpants.

The team’s daily practice schedule is:

  • 3pm – 5pm Monday
  • 3pm – 5pm Tuesday
  • 3pm – 5pm Wednesday
  • 3pm – 5pm Thursday
  • 3pm – 5pm Friday
  • 10:30 am- 12:00 pm Saturday

“Saturday practice is a lot latter than usual because we have to schedule gym time.  We cannot get in to the gym until 10:30 am. This Saturday schedule is difficult for people who have jobs. Saturday is one of the only days that we were supposed to be able to work at our outside employment,” senior Lydia Sloan said.

The first scrimmage for the team is March 19 and is away. The first home scrimmage is on March 21, but with all the snow and rain we have experienced,  the condition of the field is questionable.

“When we were picking up our uniforms we had to go to the dugout to get them. This sprint to the dugout showed the field was completely covered in snow. We are supposed to do field preparation soon, but I do not know if that will be possible,” freshman Jessica Fehr said.
