The Taste of Cincinnati will begin on May 23 and last until May 25. After years and years of practice and preparation, many satisfied guests come and support this venue. Just remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

As Memorial Day is right around the corner, Cincinnati is gearing up for The Taste of Cincinnati which begins on May 23 and ends on May 25. This is one of Cincinnati’s greatest traditions and has been going on for over 37 years.

In year’s past, the temperature has really affected people. Last year it was over 90 degrees and 36 people were attended to with medical needs due to intense heat. People surely did not have to look hard to see the effects of the temperatures on the crowd.

“I was looking at the forecast for this upcoming weekend and saw it was going to be right around 75 degrees everyday with sunny skies, I do not think it gets much better than that,” senior Aditya Venkitarama said.

Over 500,000 people attend this annual event due to the different foods that The Taste of Cincinnati has to offer.

The Cincinnati fire department will set up cooling tents to insure everybody’s safety. Firefighters also will hand out fans to cool off the crowd.

With several hundreds of thousands of people expected for the event, restaurants served out their best dishes possible. Music was also big during the taste with many live bands performing.

“I am really looking forward to going to The Taste of Cincinnati with my family. I am excited for the food along with the music and atmosphere,” senior Adam Dock said.

The Taste of Cincinnati is one of Cincinnati’s premier events for the city and showcases many cultural and historic attractions that the city offers.

“I have been to the Taste of Blue Ash before but never the Taste of Cincinnati, it would be interesting to go one day,” sophomore Nonso Okonji said.
