Striking up the band for hunger
Come help the marching band with the annual food drive for Operation Give Back.
On Sat., Nov. 5, the marching band will be performing their award winning 2016 show “Vortex” while helping fight hunger in the community. Admission is two non-perishable food items for donating.
The band has partnered with Operation Give Back to distribute these donated items to families within the community for the holiday season.
Recommended donations are canned meat (tuna, ham, chicken), easy-to-prepare canned meals (soup, ravioli, chili, ramen noodles, stew), canned fruit, jelly, peanut butter, and canned vegetables (green beans, peas, corn, carrots, tomatoes).
This will be the band’s final performance before they compete in the Mid-States Band Association Championships on November 5.
The show will be from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the soccer stadium; if it rains, it will be hosted in the main gym.
So come show your thankfulness for the holiday season by sharing with those in need.
