“I feel like art is really important to any school because it is a way for people to express themselves. Not everyone can express themselves vocally so those who struggle like the special needs kids and I’ve seen [them] create a lot of art. It’s really cool to see how they feel and who they are in colorful mediums. Art can portray a message about society, emotions, or simply perspectives on a topic with just pictures, you don’t need words. It is something everyone can appreciate. I think it is important for a school to encourage students to express themselves creatively and in multiple ways. SHS does a good job of doing that.”
