    • Five episodes of "Wandavision" have been released on DisneyPlus. This show is full of intrigue and is very intriguing and a new take on a subtle homage to sitcoms through the decades.

    • PASS THE REMOTE. When it comes to finding your next favorite movie, you never know until you try. Even movie posters and synopses can not determine whether you will end the movie with your eyes glued to the screen or closed shut after boredom rocked you to sleep.

    • The Queen’s Gambit: a common chess opening involving the white player sacrificing a Queen-side pawn to secure control of the center of the board; an attacking move. Or, in the case of this review, a well-edited, intense Netflix miniseries with impressive acting and overarching themes that’s worth watching.

    • On March 8th, dancers from Cincy Dance Studio were packed backstage at a dance competition surrounded by hundreds of people from all over the country. Music was blasting, people were cheering as they had the time of their lives. Little did they know their beloved dance studio was five days away from shutting down for months due to the Coronavirus. Lauren Andrews, owner of the studio, said, “I do think our industry will be impacted for the foreseeable future. And it’s up to us to ensure our dancers that they still have a safe environment for them to attend.”

    • LIVE FROM YOUR LIVING ROOM. During the COVID-19 pandemic, live events have come to a halt, putting concerts, Broadway shows, and other productions on hold. Luckily, many artists and performers have found ways to hold performances virtually, such as former One Direction member Niall Horan, who held a live-streamed concert on Nov. 7 from Royal Albert Hall in London. Despite my skepticism of the idea of paying to watch a performance from my living room, I tuned into the live stream anyways, and I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. From the stunning venue to Horan’s fantastic vocals, it was definitely a concert I will remember.

    • #NOTAWITCH. The new movie “The Witches,” an adaption of Roald Dahl’s novel, has been receiving backlash for its negative depiction of limb differences. The film stars Anne Hathaway, whose witch character is made to look scarier because of her three-fingered hands, creating a negative view of this real limb difference. Members of the disability community have taken to posting photos of their difference with #notawitch to combat this narrative. “My hope is that kids with or without limb differences seeing this movie won’t associate people with limb differences with ugly, mean witches,” said Rachel Sumrada, a high school senior and amputee from Cleveland, Ohio.
