Top 3 study methods for AP exams

Many students use Quizlet rather than traditional flashcards. The sets created are accessible on computers, tablets, and smartphones. "Quizlet is much easier because you can quickly type words and definitions up, and also share your sets with other people. I use it a lot to study for AP Psychology," said Jessica Hobart, 11. As Spring Break quickly approaches, teachers of AP classes are stressing how important it is to begin preparation for the exams of those classes.

To help get a high score on these exams, try some of these study methods:

1. Test prep books

The Princeton Review, Crash Course, and Barron’s are a few of the most common books that provide overviews of the entire course. These books include key information and often provide practice questions with detailed answer explanations.

2. Flashcards/Quizlet

To help memorize vocabulary and key people, places, dates, and events, students use flashcards to easily flip through and quiz themselves on information. To quiz yourself on your computer, phone, or tablet, try Quizlet.

3. Study group

Try talking through topics with other people. Explaining things out loud and to others is a way to ensure that you understand, as well as confirm that all your facts are correct.
