Joe Deninzon has played for former President Bill Clinton; He was the winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Along with the many CDs he has released with his bands, Deninzon has performed as a soloist with the New York City Ballet.

On Friday, February 13, the Sycamore Electric Ensemble (SEE1), directed by David Smarelli, will have a concert starting at 7:00 p.m. It will take place at the high school auditorium.

The band is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Sign-ups for auditions are held at the beginning of the year.

SEE1 has all-electric instruments, including electric violins, viola, cello, guitar, bass, keyboard, and the drums. The program includes songs from the Beatles, Muse, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

The concert features electric violinist/mandolinist Joe Deninzon, who is the lead singer of the band “Stratospheerius.” He is also part of a jazz trio and the “Sweet Plantain String Quartet.”

Deninzon has also taught at Mark O’Connor’s String Camp, and Mark Wood’s Rock Orchestra camp. He himself arranged much of the music being played at the concert.
