The conference at OSU is hosted by the Collegiate Council on World Affairs (CCWA) club. Students in the club organize the entire conference as well as serve as the dais members. Along with hosting a conference for high school students, CCWA also attends college MUN conferences throughout the year.

After dominating at the Model United Nations (MUN) University of Dayton conference and the MUN University of Chicago conference, the MUN Club is not done.

On April 11, the club will travel up to Columbus to attend a conference hosted by The Ohio State University (OSU). The event will take place over two days, so members of MUN will be staying overnight near campus.

“The Chicago conference was so much fun so I’m really happy that it didn’t end up being our last one for the year,” junior Max Gottliebson said.

Around 32 MUN members will attend OSU MUN. Each member will be a delegate in one of the six committees.

“The MUN Chicago conference is huge and we ended up doing really well at it, so I definitely think we will do really well at the OSU conference since it is much smaller. We plan to finish the year strong,” junior Yangxing Ding said.

The club is currently in the process of sorting out specific details for the approaching weekend.

“We are planning to take a bus up to Columbus and stay in a hotel that is within walking distance of the OSU campus,” Ding said.
