Mr. Doug Mader

Athletes and participants in fall activites line up with the drum line prior to marching around the school. This march, known as the “Walk of Champions” will be held each season to honor the athletes and the awards they recieved. Junior Noah Stern said, “It’s very important to honor the athletes from SHS for their hard work and numerous accolades.”

To commence athletes for their achievements this season, SHS held its first “Walk of Champions” during sixth bell on Wed., Oct. 14., and its second on Wed., Oct. 21. On this occasion, all athletes that participated in a sport or activity this fall season marched around the school.
Junior Noah Stern said, “It’s very important to honor the athletes from SHS for their hard work and numerous accolades.”
As the students trekked across the hallways of SHS, the drumline marched along with them as well and will continue to each “Walk of Champions” march this year.
Sophomore Nikhil Sekar said, “Hearing the drums during the Walk of Champions pumps me up. It’s my favorite part of the march.”
SHS will hold “Walk of Champions” for each season in order to honor each athlete and participant in clubs, encouraging everyone to partake in an activity.
Stern said, “I marched in the Walk of Champions last year and it was fun to see everyone give high fives and wave to the athletes.”
