  1. How did you come up with the idea for International Club?

“There are many clubs about specific foreign countries, but sometimes, I want to learn about many other countries culture instead of just sticking to a select few of them. Also, there are many people from other countries in our school that others may not realize and I thought International Club may let people have the opportunity to learn about more cultures and make friends with people from other countries.”

  1. What is your favorite thing about International Club?

“Trying new foods. Each time we meet, there is always provided food based off of the specific country we are presenting that meeting. People do not need to bring any food with them they can just come and eat and enjoy learning about other cultures.”

  1. What do you hope will happen as International Club continues into next year?

“I hope the club could expand and have more people next year. This year we have about 34 members in our club and it would be great to see more people join.”

  1. What do you say to people who want to also start clubs?

“If you want to start up a club you need to make sure you can put lots of effort in it. Sometimes, it is hard to find members and let people know about your club, but do not give up.”

  1. What is your favorite part of being about to experience the Taiwanese and American cultures?

“I know three languages, Taiwanese, Traditional Chinese, and English and it is good for communicating with other people. Also, knowing both Taiwanese and the American cultures allows me to understand the difference between them and that makes me feel like I have grown more educationally.”
