Choosing ACT or SAT

One of the multitude of questions students face while preparing for college is whether to take the ACT or SAT. While both test are standardized college preparatory exams, both are different in style.

Specific to the ACT:
Questions are designed to be more straightforward and are meant to be solved quicker.
There is a science section.
There is no penalty for guessing.

Specifics to the SAT:
There is more emphasis on vocabulary.
The essay is more comprehensive focused.
There is a ¼ pt guessing penalty.
