KEEP SMILING. While performing their show, Votex, the color guard waits for the drum majors to continue on to the next movement. The marching band has finally finished the show and will be competing Sat. Nov. 22. Now the ensemble is just mending the cracks and making sure the three movements flow together.

With only a couple more weeks left, the marching band is working on perfecting their Vortex themed show.
The group just recently received the ending drill , and the color guard has learned all of the choreography. Now, all the ensemble has to do is connect the dots and complete the picture.
“I am very excited to finish the show, and complete our work of art,” said Sophia Taylor 9.
The next competition the band will perform in will be held on Sat. Nov. 22. This will be the first competition where the band can compete the full show, including all three movements.
“I am so excited, the end is so close and we almost have it all ready. I’m super pumped to have the entire show done for this competition,” said Karen Mellott 11.
Once the band has everything on the move and ready to go, they will be able to fix anything that needs corrections, and work to make the show the best it can be.
“I’m happy to be finishing the show, the music is amazing and I am glad we can try new visuals this year,” said Julia You 12.
