International Women’s Day is March 8- a day meant to commemorate women and spread awareness on women’s issues such as gender equity and the wage gap. This year’s theme is #BeBoldForChange, “to help forge a better working world- a more inclusive, gender equal world.”

International Women’s day has been celebrated since 1908, and has continued and evolved with each passing year.

To help achieve gender equity, men and women can take the pledge and challenge bias and inequality, campaign against violence, forge women’s advancement, celebrate women’s achievements, and champion women’s education.

Currently, there are about 12,471 individuals who have taken the pledge.
