Quvenzhané Wallis
Quvenzhané Wallis was born on August 28, 2003 in Louisiana. Wallis is famously known for her role in the 2014 major motion picture revival of “Annie”, as Annie. When Wallis was five years old, she lied about her age when auditioning for her very first job. She needed to be six. After she got the lead, things started to take off. Wallis is widely known for her roles in “Annie,” “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” “Trolls,” and “12 Years a Slave.” Because she is a child actress, Wallis has experienced many unique things for her age. She had a float in The 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, has presented a clue on “Jeopard”’ and even became the face of Armani Junior in May of 2014. And now at the age of 14, she is a published author. Wallis is also the first African American child actor to be an Academy Award Nominee. She has also been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
