Adaptive PE takes on field day

  • FIELD DAY FUN. Participants gather around the pie in the face and bubble stations. On the stage, participants enjoyed a dance station throughout the day. Students were in charge of running their assigned station from 10 a.m. until noon.

  • SWING. When taking a break from walking and enjoying stations, students chose to swing. Field day took place at the park near the Blue Ash Recreation Center. Students from different schools within the district attended, including the junior high and elementary schools.

  • FACE PAINT AND TATTOOS. Volunteers at this station painted faces and appplied temportary tattoos. Various types of tattoos were available for students to choose from. Face paint designs were created by the volunteers.

  • SOAKED. Junior Hannah Taylor sprays senior Lily Steward with a water gun. The water play station included water activities such as squirt guns, a water sprayer, and other types of water toys. Further out in the field students used a sling shot to shoot balloons out in the grass.

  • OBSTACLE COURSE. Students in TPA created this activity for field day. The course accommodated all students. Some of the items making up the course included pool noodles, cones, hoops, and sponges.

  • OPTIONS. Students had many stations to pick from for field day. When students were finished going through stations, lunch was provided for all. Volunteers helped pack the stations up into a trailer, and unloaded them when returning to SHS at the end of the day.
