A round-up of our favorite looks
Spirit week is always an exciting time of year for SHS, with students and staff alike putting together their best outfits to show off their school spirit. This past week was no exception, so to highlight the efforts of those who brought out all the stops, here is a showcase of eight of the best looks from our March 2021 spirit week.
-
TOURIST TUESDAY. Day one of spirit week had us all wishing we were at the beach. From bucket hats to Hawaiian shirts, it almost felt like spring break came early at SHS. Sophomores Trisha Chidambaram, Claire Berlier, Emma Silverman, Julia Zinnbauer, and Claire Dillon bring this theme to life with leis and colorful shirts for all.
'
-
SWEET SHADES. Freshmen Marley Lane, Tanvi Mayya, Celia Shafer, and Julia Pack sport some sunglasses and bright colors for tourist Tuesday. Mayya’s playful umbrella hat also added to the tropical vibes of her outfit.

-
TIE-DYE WEDNESDAY. Is there a better way to kick-off the spring season than with the bold and bright colors that tie-dye has to offer? Probably not. And leave it to SHS to bring out some of the best tie-dye shirts you have ever seen. Junior Anya Huth wore her beautiful spiral tie-dye shirt to show off her school spirit.
'
-
PARTICIPATION FROM EVERYONE. Junior Anusha Gambheera participates from home with her rainbow tie-dye shirt. And can we please take a moment to appreciate the perfection of the spiral on her shirt?

-
JERSEY THURSDAY. With the March Madness tournament quickly approaching, this was the perfect opportunity for everyone to support their favorite teams. From basketball to football to baseball, students represented teams from all sorts of different sports. Students in Mrs. Melissa Sullivan’s third bell class really went all out with participation with a variety of jerseys, and we love Mr. Daniel Frank’s Sycamore jersey for an added touch of school spirit.
'
-
MATCHING. Seniors Jonah Taub, Sophie Campbell, and Kyle Heppler show off their matching Ohio State jerseys for jersey Thursday. Go Bucks!
'
-
GREEN, GOLD, AND GIVING BACK. The final day of spirit week had a unique twist: in addition to wearing as much green and gold as possible, all students and staff were encouraged to bring in a canned food product to benefit the Operation Give Back food pantry. Pictured is junior Erica Liff, a member of student council, checking the bins for donations. Thank you to all students and staff who donated!

GO AVES. Ending spirit week on a high note, green and gold could be seen down every hallway at SHS, including on the sweatshirts of sophomores Brenden Waggoner and Hayden Burns. Thanks for an awesome spirit week Aves!
