For the SHS baseball players, now is the time to start playing in 100 percent mode. After last years’ dismal five win 18 loss season, all three teams look to play better. Senior captains Ben Gunn and Grant Price will help to steer the team back on track.
To try and change up some things, longtime coach Chris Shrimpton brought in one of his former players, Josh Mason, to be the pitching coach and Varsity assistant. He looks to bring new leadership as well as new techniques to help this team succeed.
“I think that we will do much better this year. We have some good talent and I think we might have a chance to win the GMC,” said Kyuzo Kelly, 9.
The first Varsity game comes against Colerain in a couple of weeks.
