High school runners combine with junior high runners for warm-up drills directed by coach Richard Shomo. The seventh and eighth graders had the opportunity to watch the top high school athletes compete in their events, while the high schoolers had the opportunity to connect with the younger runners. The Showcase will continue as an annual event.

Sophomore Joshua Glauser sprints the open 400 meter dash. He heard that he qualified for the State Championships in the event on the Wednesday before the competition. “I wasn’t even thinking about qualifying in the 400 when I ran it at the University of Findlay, just being in the top 35. I was in chemistry class when I got a text from my mom saying that I had made it. I was genuinely shocked,” Glauser said.
