    • MORGAN. "I cut my hair because last year, my childhood friend Patrick Battle lost his life to cancer. He was 17 years old with so many unfulfilled dreams and unlived adventures. Seeing him fight and miss out on life broke my heart...a battle that is all too common for many other pediatric cancer patients. Because of him, I was inspired to give back. I believe that no child or family should go through the painful war of cancer and so I felt like I could help by donating my hair."

    • Downtown Cincy is filled with fun. The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge is perfect for a relaxing walk and a great opportunity for some amazing shots of Cincinnati’s skyline. Along with the attractions, there are also many restaurants, ranging from inexpensive to very fancy dining. Additionally, the historical vibe of the area is very unique and special. Your relatives will really enjoy all that downtown has to offer.

    • MAKE ME A MATCH. Chava (freshman Peyton Hines), along with her sisters Tzeitel and Hodel (seniors Sydney Weiss and Shayna Kling) sing about what the future will bring for her in a scene from Aves Theatre’s recent production of the hit musical, “Fiddler on the Roof.” The show took place April 11-13 at Sycamore High School, and was a huge success both with the audience and financially. “With this show, we were able to break the record for the amount of tickets sold for a one week show,” said Aves Theatre director Mr. John Whapham

    • HOPE. As far as poses go, this one was a crowd favorite for it showed the toughness of the survivor. After all, the FFTC committee agrees that the primary reason they chose to support The Dragonfly Foundation was because they provide encouragement and support during a dragonfly’s battle with cancer. By doing the show, not only are they raising money to support The Dragonfly Foundation’s mission, they give the kids a chance to enjoy being their true selves.

    • DRAW, PAINT, BUILD. At the Sycamore Art Show, works of art from all grades were displayed. The day before the show, art teachers from the four different Elementary schools, E.H. Greene school, Junior High, and High School gathered to put up the multitude of pieces done by students. Included was a group project by the Elementary students where they colored on pieces of paper and then constructed a cityscape by sticking the separately colored pages together by cutting slits and placing them together to construct a criss cross. Junior High students made Zentangles, a series of different patterns placed next to each other, creating the students’ hair above a photo of their face.
