Weitz bowls 300, sets SHS record

With an average of 203.8, the highest average in the league, sophomore Paige Weitz has accomplished an outstanding bowling season.

On Feb. 16, Weitz made SHS history with a perfect score of 300. This has never been accomplished at Sycamore. But her score was not just pure luck.

“Last year I only averaged around 157, but this year I’m over 200 with a 300 game,” Weitz said.

Improving tremendously between freshman and sophomore year has lead Weitz to the player she is today.

“That just shows how hard I’ve worked and the time I put into the game during the offseason,” Weitz said.

Back in December, Weitz bowled a 661, winning the individual Big Blue Bowling Tournament. Nonetheless, scoring a perfect 300 is something worth celebrating.

“The match was absolutely unbelievable. I could not ask for a better day to be with everyone,” Weitz said.
