DEDICATION. Bella Voce members work with a guest to further their craft. The choral program strives to invite guests throughout the year to help students grow. The group will have their tryouts in November. Photo courtesy of Kaitlynn Herzog.

SHS’ all girls choir Bella Voce is returning strong and preparing for upcoming concerts. Bella Voce is one of two all-female curricular choirs, the other being Aviator Chorale Ladies (ACL).

Upon taking choir as a first year, most ladies start with ACL and work their way through Bella and possibly Select Ensemble, which males and females partake in.

Growing in size, Bella has 18 members. Returning members welcome the new, and bonding begins to take place.

“This year we have 18 members in Bella, and all of them bring something different to the plate,” said Kaitlynn Herzog, 12.

Herzog auditioned and made Bella again, marking her second year in Bella and last year of high school.

“Bella is honestly one of my favorite classes to be in and all the girls are so loving and supportive of one another,” Herzog said.

Currently, Bella is preparing for the Variety Show, which will take place on Sat. Nov. 18.

Bella members are known for their singing, but the ladies match their vocals with choreography that nicely complements their vocal abilities.

“We have just started touching up on the choreo[graphy] and it brings back memories from the last time we went to Disney,” Herzog said.

All in all, Bella members are working hard to assure a strong year for their choir and the program as a whole.
