Michelle Obama
Known for her recent memoir “Becoming Michelle Obama,” and her health and wellness movements Michelle Obama truly exemplifies what it means to be a strong, independent female. Obama grew up on the south side of Chicago. She graduated from Princeton University in 1985, and then went on to Harvard Law School. She met former President Barack Obama in the summer of 1989. Together, they have two children; Malia and Sasha Obama. Before her time as the First Lady of the US (FLOTUS), Obama worked as the Vice President for Community and External Affairs in the Medical Center at the University of Chicago. Her husband was elected the 44th President of the United States in November of 2008. As she took on the role of the FLOTUS, Obama focused on health, family, and women. Obama also implemented new food standards for schools. During her husband’s last term in office, she supported Hillary Clinton. Now out of office, Obama has one daughter away at college and another in high school. Recently, Obama’s memoir has been a huge hit.
