Hey Sycamore! My name is Lindsay Boutelle and I am a senior. I am ending high school with a bang by starting my first year writing in The Leaf! I have wanted to participate in The Leaf for a while now, but could not seem to fit into my schedule. Now, with a majority of my required credits already finished, I had space for this class! As soon as I walked into that classroom, I knew that it was going to be something that I would enjoy. All of my fellow writers and editors are genuinely so sweet, and I can not wait to get to know them more.

Outside of the classrooms, you can catch me leading Sycamore Christian Youth at SHS. We meet every Wednesday and partake in fellowship, worship, and teaching. I joined my freshman year and have loved it ever since.

As a kid, I played all kinds of sports, but softball has always been a part of my heart. My team at Sycamore is my family, and I wouldn’t be who I am without the Lady Aves. I play first base and pitcher but could go out in the outfield if needed (although it would not be my first choice :)).

A fun fact about me is that I can tell you pretty much tell you all the dialogue from the movie Elf. I have watched that movie so many times, and do so multiple times a year. My friends know me for two things: Christmas and my favorite snack, popcorn and M&Ms. Don’t knock it until you try it!

So excited to get to be a part of this program! Have a great year, and go Aves!
