Hi! I am Ophelia Sidmore, and I am a senior here at SHS. I am so excited to be a co editor-in-chief as well as the photo editor again this year. Getting to be a part of The Leaf has been one of my favorite parts of my time in high school. I have loved every second of late-night editing, countless drafting sessions and collaborating with all the amazing people that make this magazine so wonderful. I can only hope that wherever I end up next has a group of students half as amazing as the ones I get to write, design and edit with everyday.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and cooking. My favorite food is bagels, my favorite color is yellow, my favorite book is “Little Universes” by Heather Demitrios, and my favorite movies are “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Pride and Prejudice” (the 2005 version). I also love the show “New Girl” (I am on my fifth rewatch). I am a big fan of most music, but my all-time favorite artists are Kendrick Lamar, Fleetwood Mac, Lorde, and SZA. I love to hang out with my family and friends in my free time.

Finally, to anyone who has ever picked up a Leaf, be it to read every story or just the Missed Connections, I thank you deeply. The support and generosity of readers like you are what help keep The Leaf alive each month. As always, don’t forget to bring $2, and go Aves!
