William Coleman , Sports Chief

My name is Will Coleman and I attend Sycamore High School as a senior. This is my fourth year with the Leaf, this year as the sports chief. I have dreamed of being a sports writer or broadcaster for years now. In college, I plan on majoring in Journalism or Media with a business minor, preferably Marketing. My favorite time of day is early evening. The school subject I like the most is Spanish, but Journalism is up there too. My favorite place to travel is either Boston/Cape Cod or the location of my sleep-away camp (Bennington, Indiana). Sports I play are a huge role in my life and I love to watch and play practically all of them. During my time with the Leaf, I have enjoyed covering sports and music reviews/stories.

Senior quarterback Jake Borman (#10) looks on from the back of the endzone before his teammates are stuffed at the goal line by Middletown. Borman has been the team’s starting quarterback since filling in for Greg Simpson (Class of ‘14) his freshman year. After an 0-2 start, Borman and the Aves look to improve in their final eight games.
