GIVE BACK. The marching band holds their annual “Strike Up the Band for Hunger” to help the community around them. To watch the band perform, all needed is two non perishable cans of food to donate. The band hopes to have many people come watch them perform so that they can help those in need.

TOGETHER. Before performing their show Libra, the marching band enjoys a picnic. The band has yet to have their first competition but will Sat Sept. 9. The competition will be held at Kings High School and Libra will be shown around 9:00 pm.

PERFORM. From their previous marching band season the members of color guard perform their show, Vortex. Members from the guard meet again after the fall season to help keep their flag skills. Any one is welcome to join the winter spin club, and no experience is needed.

The marching band preforms their show, Vortex on the move for the first time. It was the group’s third competition but due to rain, the other past ones were held indoors, while standing still. The band received third and qualified for state competition.

The girls in color guard are putting the final touches on their show. The marching band season is quickly coming to an end, with only two weeks left. The guard is working on their performance skills for their last competitions.

The marching band performs at Lebanon High School. They were able to compete with all three of their songs, although they did not march all of three. The students received many accolades at the conclusion of the show.

At King’s High School, the marching band performs indoors. Rain, thunder, and lightening prevented the students from competing on their typical football field. It was a new experience for all of the freshman through seniors.

Freshman Lydia Cooke and sophomore Enrique Martin perform in the second movement of the show. The color guard and trumpets do a feature which involves stretchy green fabric. Each member of the color guard is paired with a trumpet.
