I am a senior and this is currently my fourth year on The Leaf staff. I am one of the staff writers this year although I have previously been an A&E chief. I thoroughly enjoy writing articles about video games as gaming is one of my many hobbies. My favorite movies are “The Untouchables” and “Gladiator” because both are very inspiring and well-made movies. At SHS I am a member of the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team as well as the Boys Varsity Swim Team, I also do club swimming with the Cincinnati Marlins in the spring and summer.

With the new spring training team members can now workout with the entire team months before the season starts. This training will continue during the summer time. The official season will start in August.

Senior Rick Niu swims for both the high school team and the Cincinnati Marlins. His best events are the 200 IM and the 200 freestyle. He has been working hard in the offseason so that he will make state again this coming season.

Senior Mark Hancher will be competing on Varsity for his fourth year. Swimming since freshman year gives him a big responsibility to lead the team and be an example. Hancher was a big part of the team his junior year competing in the State meet.
