Hi! My name is Eshika and I am on my second year on the staff of the SHS Leaf as a sophomore. Apart of the Leaf, I am a co-business manager where I help with organizing ads for the magazine. Some of my favorite classes include math and chemistry. Outside of school, I play tennis and dance apart a Bhangra team called Gajdi Jawani.I have been dancing since I was three and enjoy every second of it. Although I enjoy these activities a lot, ultimately, I have an enormous passion for traveling the world. I have been to most of the states in the United States including Hawaii and Alaska, and have been to 3 other countries. I plan to go to Europe this spring and am so excited to do so! I hope to continue my education after college in math and science, but I am not totally sure of what specific area I would like to go into. I am thinking of the medical field, but I would still like to explore other areas such as engineering. As of now, I’ll focus on the present and as new opportunities come by, I’ll play it by ear. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me in my next year of journalism!

Even though she was against joining politics due to her husband’s death, she saw the country’s politics dwindling, and decided to help her country.

Although students have to live through an excessive amount of stress, there is always a way to balance it out. No matter how difficult the work load can be, there are ways to take one’s mind off of it for a little while and come back to it after some time.
