Max Torem, News Chief

Hello, and welcome to my profile! My name is Max Torem and I am a senior this year at Sycamore High School. This is my third year on staff and I am the News Section editor. As the editor of the news section, it is my duty to decide which stories to run based on timeliness, proximity, accuracy of information, and many other important factors. I also write a monthly column to be put in the print version of The Leaf. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do here and I love writing for a nationally awarded publication, but I also enjoy activities outside of the classroom. I have a passion for professional sports. My father, raised in Akron, Ohio, has raised me to be a fan of the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Indians. Ever since I began showing interest in professional sports, he has taken me to many their home games. We try to make it up to Cleveland about three or four times a year. My desire to help others in need is another huge part of my life. I enjoy seeing other people succeed because I was able to help them. This is the exact reason why I enrolled myself to become a Fast Track Mentor. Fast Track is a program at SHS that allows people like me to help other students who are struggling with academics. The most rewarding part of Fast Track is by far the look on students’ faces when they see how good their grades are. S far as this year, I am excited to see which university I will attend after my high school career is over. Thank you for visiting my profile and please have a great rest of your day.

Self driving trucks have already begun testing on the corridor, even with normal traffic on the road at the same time. A major concern with self driving vehicles is safety, but extensive testing is being conducted to assure the daily injury and death tolls do not rise. Although slightly concerning now, self driving vehicles could improve safety in the long run.

Listed here are all of the letter grades for the top 25 fast food and “fast casual” restaurants in the U.S. Although 16 out of 25 restaurants received a failing grade, this is an improvement from last year. Keep in mind, the grade can be dependent on just on or on multiple available meat products.

The suit is sure to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. Along with maximum protection of whoever is operating the suit, it can also pack a punch. Although this seems ahead of its time, technology warefare is the exact direction the modern world is heading in.

Although the use of cocaine in teens is somewhat low, flakka could take over as its replacement and deaths would skyrocket. Teen drug use is going down, which is good. However, new drugs coming in to play could cause a reverse effect.
