The Leaf

Lindsey Brinkman
Hello online reader! My name is Lindsey Brinkman and I am a junior at SHS, thus making this my third year on the Leaf staff.  I currently hold the position as the entertainment chief as well as one of the members of the business staff. As a business staff, I plan fundraisers with local businesses, manage the artwork and funds each month from ads, and assist the Editors in Chief with placing ads on pages. As well as working with the ads, I hold the responsibility to manage the funds of The Leaf. Although I hold two positions on staff, my main priority is maintaining the structure of the entertainment section. As entertainment chief, I am responsible for reading, and editing all of the pieces turned into my section. I also plan which pieces will go to print, and design those said pages. And finally, as the entertainment chief, I work with the other section editors to complete the package story, and help design those pages. To help create pages for The Leaf, I work with several design programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. When I am not taking care of the entertainment section, I like to write  on multiple genres such as news and feature but most of my writing falls under entertainment due to my outside activities. Some of these include marching band, fencing and softball. As well as those I have played the cello for seven years now, and I am a part of the school orchestra. In orchestra I hold the position as librarian, meaning I assist  with the music for each individual student. This is my second year in this position, and I have enjoyed every aspect of it so far. As well as holding a position with the orchestra leadership, I am also part of the marching band leadership team, and I am the Personal Relationship manager. This job has allowed me to work upon my skills, and given me more opportunities to produce better videos, and meet new people. All in all, thank you for stopping by, and I hope you can find something that interests you!
