The Leaf

Hannah Lee
Hi! My name is Hannah Lee and this is my first year as a staff member for the Leaf. I started in the Fall as a staff writer and later became Feature Co-editor around Wintertime. This means I receive all the Feature articles written for that month’s publication, edit them, and finally choose which articles would be the best contenders to be placed in the three very special pages of the Feature section in the Leaf. From my experience thus far, journalism is where real-life learning takes place. It resembles a true company or business with a hierarchy system and deadlines that I learn a lot from daily. I truly regret not being a part of journalism my freshman year; I love it as much as I knew I was missing out on it. Aside from journalism, I love the study of different languages. Currently, I am taking Chinese 4 and am also a part of the Chinese Club (Korean is my first language). I also love the language of music; I play clarinet and am in the top band at school and play in an orchestra at my church. Truly, music has been a major part of my life since I was five and started playing the piano (although it has been a couple years since I took piano lessons). With past piano experience, I am also a part of the marching band as a synthesizer player. In addition to things I enjoy, I adore animals, am a bookworm, experiment with cooking regularly and have a wish to someday travel the world. Lastly, make sure to check out some of our publications of the Leaf and Leaflet. Thanks for reading my profile!
